QVQ develops single domain antibodies in several major disease areas: cancer, infectious diseases and age related disease like neuromuscular diseases and osteoarthritis and osteoporosis.
QVQs single domain antibodies (VHHs) are derived from lamas or alpacas and are available as recombinantly expressed, highly pure proteins. They are either untagged, C-direct tagged or conjugated to fluorphores (HiLyte, LICOR), biotin or chelators for EM applications (NOTA, DOTA).
What are VHHs?
A VHH antibody (or nanobody) is the antigen binding fragment of heavy chain only antibodies produced by camelid species, such as Lamas or Alpacas. Discovered nearly 25 years ago, they have been investigated for their use in clinical therapeutics and immunodiagnostics, and more recently for environmental monitoring applications.
A new and valuable immunoreagent, VHHs will overcome many pitfalls encountered with conventional reagents. In particluar for imaging applications VHH antibodies often perform better than conventional antibodies and are amenable to numerous genetic engineering techniques.

- Tagged with a C-direct tag for custom conjugation

- Labeled with IRDye800CW (LI-COR)
- Labeled with chelators (NOTA, DOTA) for EM applications
- Labeled with biotin for affinity purification or immunoprecipitation
