IDT Webinar: Accelerate Your Protein Engineering Workflows with gBlocks

Discover ways to overcome the time-consuming bottlenecks often found in traditional protein engineering workflows. Our speaker, Dr. Evelyn Eggenstein, the division manager of synthetic biology for Daicel Arbor Biosciences, will discuss how their high-yield myTXTL® Cell-Free Protein Expression platform, when coupled with IDT’s gBlocks™ Gene Fragments, can condense protein engineering workflows to a single day.

What you’ll learn

  • Key advantages of applying cell-free systems for protein variant screening
  • Guidance on DNA template design considerations
  • Introduction to setting up reactions with the one-pot myTXTL Master Mix
  • How Daicel Arbor Biosciences myTXTL Cell-Free Expression system and IDT’s gBlocks Gene Fragments can provide a controllable, scalable solution for protein expression and synthetic biology workflows

Evelyn Eggenstein, Ph.D., oversees development and commercialization of the myTXTL Cell-Free Expression product line directing both myTXTL manufacturing and R&D activities. Evelyn joined Daicel Arbor Biosciences as a Product Development Scientist in 2015. Her expertise in protein biochemistry allowed her to guide myTXTL technology transfer activities and to lead initial marketing of the myTXTL platform. Evelyn earned her Ph.D. from the Technical University Munich (TUM), Germany in Prof. Arne Skerra`s lab. She focused on the characterization and medical application of alternative scaffold proteins (Anticalins). Previously, Evelyn earned both a B. S. and M. S. in Molecular Biotechnology also from TUM, Germany.
