Webinar: Inflammation in Infection and Cancer: New Biological Insights and Emerging Therapeutics
Inflammation is a vital process that protects us from infections. Excessive or prolonged inflammation, however, can contribute to serious health issues, including cancer. In this webinar, Dr. Si Ming Man will present their recent findings on the role of innate immune receptors in controlling inflammation and inflammasome activation, shedding light on their impact in infectious diseases. He will also explore how these innate immune receptors influence tumor development, with many acting independently of well-known inflammatory pathways through mechanisms such as DNA-damage response. These insights open up new avenues for therapeutic strategies targeting both infections and cancer.

Webinar: How to optimize non-viral CRISPR HDR for high-efficiency large knock-in in primary T cells and iPSCs
Achieving large knock-ins, such as chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) insertions in primary T lymphocytes, remains a key challenge in genome editing. In this webinar, we will present our findings from extensive bench research focused on optimizing CRISPR homology-directed repair (HDR) techniques in CAR knock-ins in primary T cells. We will cover crucial factors including double strand break repair mechanisms, CRISPR reagent selection, and optimized cell handling workflows. Additionally, we will highlight the use of Aldevron Nanoplasmids™ as highly efficient HDR donor templates, successfully demonstrated in both primary T cells and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). The session will conclude with a workflow summary and a Q&A session.
Webinar: Ex Vivo Drug Response Profiling in Clinical Application
Ex vivo drug response profiling has emerged as a promising tool for studying genotype–drug response associations, offering the potential for precision medicine, especially in cancer treatment. In this webinar, Peter-Martin Bruch will discuss the findings from the SMARTrial (NCT03488641), a prospective non-interventional trial that investigated the feasibility of ex vivo drug response profiling for guiding treatment decisions in hematologic malignancies. With a 91% of study results delivered within seven days, the trial highlighted the feasibility of this approach. More importantly, it showed in vivo therapy response beyond known genetic risk factors, demonstrating how functional profiling can enhance risk stratification and treatment personalization beyond traditional genetic markers.
